Description
There is no other place in Thassos island which is so idyllic, tranquil and dreamy as Glyfada sandy beach with its crystal, turquoise calm sea and pine forest reflecting in its waters. Here we built Glyfada Hotel – your gateway, your paradise. We invite you to admire the sunrise and the night sky full of stars right from your balcony!

Glyfada Hotel is built in a quiet, sunny place, right on Glyfada beach, only a few kilometers away from Limenas (main town).

It’s only a strip of golden sand separating you from the charming sea.
The place is perfect for yoga, meditation, relaxation and recovering.

Those who do not swim good and little children will appreciate Glyfada’s beach’ shallow, warm waters, while good swimmers will definitely find themselves swimming in this blue lagoon for hours!
The water is so clean and crystal that nobody can resist its call. And one more plus: when it is very windy and the waves are big at other beaches of Thassos, here you can always enjoy the calmness of the water!

We invite you to spend your vacation in neat, clean rooms with all necessary amenities.
Spacious premises, simple but functional structure of the hotel, warm and friendly attitude of the owners and staff will win your hearts.

Thassos…… The emerald island
and the mythical land of Sirens!

From a beautiful sapphire sea setting, this predominantly green island peeks out like a jewel in the Aegean Sea.  Thassos lies very close to the coast of Thrace and the plain of the Nestos River.

The island is alive with history and tradition.  The natural beauty of Thassos is slightly overwhelming, with its wooded areas filled with plane trees, oaks, cedars, chestnuts, and fragrant pines. The landscape is alive with marble and takes on shapes and contours that are not found anywhere else on earth.  When you first embark on Thassos, you will be in Limenas, the capital of the island on the northern shoreline. Limenas, also known as Thassos, is built on the site of an ancient city. There are still marble ruins and monuments on the outskirts of the city from ancient centuries.

There are marble factories located throughout Thassos which produce marble for areas around the world.

Limenaria village: family run hotels and sandy beaches, Tripiti and Metalia

Limenaria is the second largest town of Thassos. Many people confuse its name with Limenas – the capital because they sound alike, but Limenaria is on the southwest coast and Limenas – exactly in the opposite direction, on the north.
The central beach of Limenaria is a 2km long strip of sand mixed with gravel and small stones. The region, however, has several beautiful beaches. One of them – Tripiti – is located just after the central beach, with fine sand. Another famous beach is Metalia, east of Limenaria, with fine sand and large flat stones. The water there is shallow and very suitable for children.  The hotels are small and family run, restaurants and shops are concentrated around the promenade. Limenaria has a beautiful harbour and offers absolutely gorgeous views of the Aegean Sea and the holy mountain, Mount Athos.
Thassos is known throughout the world as one of the loveliest islands in Greece, due to its beautiful and clean beaches and the wonderful hospitality of the island natives!
